Zeithaus Autostadt Wolfsburg

In der Ausstellung “Der Motorroller - Mikromobilität zwischen Lifestyle und technischer Innovation“ widmete das Museum Zeithaus in der Autostadt in Wolfsburg eine Sonderausstellung den Motorollern und wirft einen Blick auf die Vernetzung der Mobilität.
Der Roller bewegt sich im Besonderen durch seine geringe Größe und durch seine Schnelligkeit in der Entwicklung neuer Mobilitätsarten und dem relativ geringen Erwerbspreis in einem Spannungsfeld zwischen technologischer Innovation, kultureller Verankerung und Identifikationsobjekt.


Leitgedanke des räumlichen Konzeptes ist, dieses Spannungsfeld zwischen der technischen Innovation, also auch dem individuellen Lifestyle zu untersuchen.

Die Materialität der Ausstellungswände unterstreichen den technischen Aspekt des Themas. Das Trapezlochblech verstärkt die offene, lichtdurchflutete Situation des Ausstellungsraumes im Foyer des Zeithauses.

Die Ausstellungswände leiten den Besucher anhand eine geführten Parcours durch spezifische Themenräume der Ausstellung.

In the exhibition "Der Motorroller - Mikromobilität zwischen Lifestyle und technischer Innovation" (The scooter - micromobility between lifestyle and technical innovation), the Zeithaus Museum in the Autostadt in Wolfsburg dedicated a special exhibition to scooters and takes a look at the networking of mobility.
Due to its small size and speed in the development of new types of mobility and the relatively low purchase price, the scooter moves in particular in a field of tension between technological innovation, cultural anchoring and object of identification.
The central idea of the spatial concept is to examine this field of tension between technical innovation and individual lifestyle.

The materiality of the exhibition walls underlines the technical aspect of the theme. The trapezoidal perforated sheet reinforces the open, light-flooded situation of the exhibition space in the foyer of the Zeithaus.
The exhibition walls guide the visitor through a guided parcours through special theme rooms of the exhibition.
